The Department of Systems Neuroscience was founded in 2004. Structurally, the Department follows the ideas of other Cognitive Neuroimaging Centers such as the FIL in London or the Donders Center in Nijmegen. The Department was successful to acquire a grant (DFG) for a 3T MR system. In the meantime the MR system was upgrade to a TIM Trion and only recently to the PRISMA platform.
