Welcome to the German Center for Addiction Research in Childhood and Adolescence
The German Center for Addiction Research in Childhood and Adolescence (German abbreviation: DZSKJ) conducts comprehensive research into addiction prevention and quality assurance in counselling services in substance dependency and addiction among children and adolescents in Hamburg.
Based in the University Clinic Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), the DZSKJ is funded by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg from the budget allocated to the Hamburg Senate’s “Drug Free Childhood and Youth” program.
The DZSKJ benefits from its connection to the medical university and can draw on extensive experience in drug and alcohol abuse at the outpatients’ clinic for adolescents, young adults and their families, as well as decade-long research into substance abuse in youth.
