Welcome to the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery

The multidisciplinary networking of all the medical specialties and sub-specialties at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf offers patients a high degree of expertise and a patient-focused treatment concept geared to their individual requirements.

In 2014 the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery was established with Prof. Dr. Dr. M. Blessmann in charge.

The nature of this medical specialty and the cross-over with other related specialist areas necessitates close cooperation with other clinical units and departments within the UKE.

The cooperation with specialists from other departments within our medical center ensures that other individual problems and disorders such as blood clotting disorders, cardiovascular disease and diabetes mellitus can be dealt with by our specialists, thereby reducing any possible perioperative risks.
