Cooperation
The Hubertus Wald Tumor Center - University Cancer Center Hamburg (UCCH) sees itself as a competence network consisting of an association of centers, clinics, oncological specialist practices, research partners and other partner institutions in order to jointly fill the idea of a so-called "Comprehensive Cancer Center" with content and to offer modern oncological care throughout the Hamburg metropolitan region.
Below you will find all the information about our partners and the individual networks.
Academic partner in the UCCH network
The University Cancer Center Hamburg (UCCH) and the University Cancer Center Schleswig-Holstein (UCCSH) live a strong cooperation with the aim of bringing excellent, oncological care to all patients in the north of germany.
This involves networking in the fields of translational research, clinical studies, multidisciplinary care & outreach, task forces, patient participation and various events for patients, (young) scientists and doctors.
Designated partners in the UCCH network
The optimal care of patients with bronchial carcinomas and breast carcinomas poses a particular challenge due to the frequency of these diseases. On the one hand, it is important to provide all patients with guideline-based therapy, while at the same time enabling access to innovations and, if possible, using the results from patient care for future scientific and research findings.
For this reason, the UCCH has concluded special cooperation agreements as designated partners with the maximum care providers established in the Hamburg metropolitan region, the LungenClinic Grosshansdorf and the Mammazentrum Hamburg am Krankenhaus Jerusalem (MZHH), in order to establish comprehensive structures of cooperation at eye level in the sense of optimal outreach for these important tumor diseases.
With our designated partners, we therefore not only combine the treatment of joint patients and the implementation of joint studies, but also translational research projects and joint training and education activities. In addition, the treatment figures and results are also jointly analyzed and discussed, including for approaches to the certification of DKG cancer centers. With our joint efforts, we want to create the structure for an optimized clinical care landscape in the Hamburg metropolitan region.
