Further platforms and technologies

  • Antibody core unit

The antibody core unit provides expertise in recombinant antibody and nanobody technologies. Nanobodies are soluble variable domains derived from heavy chain antibodies that naturally occur in llamas and other camelids. For further details and user policies, please contact Prof. Koch-Nolte or visit the website of the antibody core unit (only German).

  • NMR

Researches of the UCCH/ UKE have access to the NMR technology. The platform is available at the Department of Chemsitry at the University of Hamburg. For details regarding application and limits of the technique please contact:

  • Response prediction platform

Functional assays of cell signalling, DNA damage, repair and replication, survival and growth delay are available in the Laboratory of Radiobiology & Experimental Radiation Oncology to determine treatment response and inhibitor efficacies in tumor cell extracts, cell lines, tissue slice cultures, tumoroids or organoids.

  • PIRL- and NIRL-based technologies

The PIRL- and NIRL-based technologies allow the targeted collection of very small tissue samples enabling spatial resolution for the subsequent analysis of biomolecules, e.g. using mass spectrometry. Interested researchers can obtain further information about these technologies and their possible applications in their own research projects via Dr. Jan Hahn or Prof. Hartmut Schlüter .

  • The platforms offer researchers at the University of Hamburg and the UKE access to state-of-the-art methods and thus create an integrative research environment for excellent individual and collaborative research and promote the interdisciplinary and synergetic use of technologies.
