Our Research Network
The HSII training and education program is supported by a range of collaborative research programs in the areas of infection, immunity, and inflammation. Presently, there are a number of UKE-based research consortia receiving major grants from the German Research Council (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG), which are the backbone of the graduate school, and which provide the specific research focus for the participating scientists. These grants ensure that sufficient funds are available to provide a rich training environment in which graduate students and young scientists can thrive. The following DFG-funded collaborative research centers (SFB), research groups (FOR) and clinical research groups (KFO) as well as integrated training programs iPRIME and iSTAR are currently running at the UKE.
SFB 841 | Liver inflammation |
SFB 1192 | Immune-mediated Glomerular Disease |
SFB 1328 | Adenine Nucleotides in Immunity and Inflammation |
KFO 296 | Feto-maternal Immune Cross Talk |
KFO 306 | Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis |
FOR 2879 | Immunostroke |
FOR 2799 | Receiving and Translating Signals via the gamma-delta T Cell Receptor |
FOR 5068 | Sex differences in immunity |
iPRIME | Graduate training in inflammation research (funded by Else Kröner-Fresenius Stiftung) |
iSTAR | Integrative Advanced Clinician Scientists Targeting Inflammatory and Infectious Disease program (funded by Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung) |
YAEL | Stiftung für Leberforschung und medizinische Weiterbildung |
